Who We Are

Alway Vision Statement

To empower the residents of Alway, to have a greater say in the every day running of their community, and to have more control over issues such as rights, freedoms, sense of security and harmony by creating a community environment where people unite and want to live and become involved. Where compatibility and commitment go together to build facilities to enable people to raise their standard of life and have pride in their community in partnership.

ACA Committee

There are currently 12 committee members who meet on a monthly basis to discuss issues relating to Alway as well as organisational progress.

Volunteers

There are currently 53 members and volunteers of Alway Community Association who are responsible for or contribute to projects undertaken as part of the Association. If you are interested in becoming a member or volunteer please click on the link and download an application form.

 

Staff

There are currently 3 full time and four part time members of staff working in the community plus volunteer placements and casual workers, they are all funded through the Communities First Initiative, a flagship initiative from the Welsh Assembly Government.
